About Us: Colorado Springs Sexual Abuse Survivor Therapy

Our Journey and Mission

Colorado Springs Sexual Abuse Survivor Therapy (CSAT) was founded in 2017 with a vision to empower survivors of sexual abuse and provide them with a safe digital space for support, education, and recovery. Our journey began as a passion project by a group of therapists and advocates dedicated to addressing the often-overlooked needs of sexual abuse survivors in Colorado Springs and beyond.

Over the years, CSAT has grown from a simple blog into a comprehensive online resource hub. We have celebrated numerous milestones, including:

  • 2018: Launching our official website with a collection of informative articles and resources.
  • 2019: Introducing our weekly online support groups, providing a sense of community for survivors.
  • 2020: Expanding our reach through social media platforms to connect with a wider audience.
  • 2022: Achieving over 500,000 page views, impacting countless lives and fostering a supportive online environment.

Our Purpose and Values

CSAT’s primary purpose is to bridge the information gap surrounding sexual abuse recovery by offering unbiased, accurate, and accessible resources. We believe that knowledge is power, and every survivor deserves reliable guidance on their path to healing. Our core values include:

  • Integrity: We commit to providing factual and sensitive content, ensuring every piece of information is carefully sourced and reviewed.
  • Empowerment: Encouraging survivors to take control of their recovery journey by offering tools, resources, and a supportive community.
  • Accuracy: Maintaining the highest standards of accuracy in our articles and guidelines, ensuring survivors receive reliable support.

Addressing the Information Gap

The internet is often replete with misleading or incomplete information regarding sexual abuse therapy and recovery. Many websites lack the depth of knowledge required to offer meaningful assistance to survivors. CSAT was created to fill this void by:

  • Verifying every fact: Our team meticulously researches and references all published content, ensuring accuracy.
  • Providing expert insights: We collaborate with renowned therapists and experts in the field to deliver evidence-based information.
  • Creating a safe space: Our platform is designed to be non-judgmental, fostering an environment where survivors can freely explore their experiences.

Serving Our Audience

CSAT’s target audience includes sexual abuse survivors, their family members, and advocates seeking reliable resources and support. We aim to:

  • Offer easy-to-understand explanations of complex therapeutic concepts.
  • Provide a platform for sharing personal stories (anonymously if preferred) to inspire hope and connection.
  • Guide readers through various recovery tools and techniques, empowering them to take charge of their healing.

Engage with Us

We encourage our audience to actively participate in shaping CSAT:

  • Comments and Feedback: Readers are invited to share their thoughts on articles and suggest new topics. Your input helps us improve and cater to your needs.
  • Anonymous Story Submissions: If you have a story to tell, we provide a secure platform for sharing experiences (anonymously if desired).
  • Community Support: Our online support groups offer a safe space for survivors to connect and support one another.
